Stabilisation of a Plastic Soil with Alkali Activated Cements Developed from Industrial Wastes

چکیده
The development of alternative materials for the construction industry, based on different types waste, is gaining significant importance in recent years. This mostly due to need increase sustainability this heavily polluting activity, thus mitigating dependence on, instance, Portland cement. present paper related an alkaline activated cement (AAC) exclusively fabricated from industrial by-products (both precursor and activator). Coal combustion fly ash, a common residue thermoelectric powerplants, glass manufacture ophthalmic lenses, were used as precursors. These precursors with recycled solution, resulting cleaning aluminium extrusion dies, instead more commercial reagents usually applied type binder. Several pastes studied, combining solution proportions. When most-performing cements defined, they stabilise cohesive soil. experimental procedure subsequent analysis designed Response Surface Methodology model, considering Activator/Solids Soil/Precursor ratios most relevant variables stabilisation process. It was observed that, depending used, there optimum activator contents optimise mechanical properties stabilised reliability prediction especially dependent and, also, their respective dissolution process right before homogenization soil, under working conditions available.

Cellulose wastes of a wood and paper factory were used to produce activated carbon. Several chemical agents under various conditions were used for production of activated carbon and hence their adsorption properties have been evaluated. متن کاملRecycling Techniques of Polyolefins from Plastic Wastes
Disposing of plastic wastes to landfill is becoming undesirable due to legislation pressures, rising costs and the poor biodegradability of commonly used polymers. In addition, incineration meets with strong societal opposition. Therefore, recycling either mechanical or chemical, seems to be the only route of plastic wastes management towards sustainability. Polyolefins, mainly polyethylene (LD...
